I am a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Secondary Education with a Middle School Endorsement. My areas of concentration are Psychology, World History, and U.S. History. My original major at Purdue was in Engineering. With my strong background in math, I received my certification in Middle School Math in addition to my other areas.  I also earned my Gifted Teaching Endorsement while teaching in Gwinnett County.

Prior to teaching in Gwinnett County I taught consumer/financial classes and worked for a military newspaper for the U.S. Army in Germany. I also worked in research, marketing, and sales for a television affiliate, and as the education director of a local church.

This is my seventh year in Gwinnett County Schools, and my fourth year at Pinckneyville.  My husband and I chose Peachtree Corners as our home because of the great schools.  And I spent six years as a Pinckneyville parent while my two children attended.  My daughter, Meredith, is a Junior at UGA and my son, Andrew, is a Senior at our own GSMST (Gwinnett School of Math, Science, and Technology).  My dog, Beauregard (above), does not attend school.  He just sleeps all day.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with all of our students this year. Pinckneyville is a great place to be.  I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do!
